ICT Systems and Network Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time ICT Systems and Network Administrator within a small, highly skilled team providing service and support to over 1300 staff and students at a campus located in the middle of Chatswood.

St Pius X College is committed to the innovative use of technology in education. We are seeking an enthusiastic, problem solving and self-motivated person to join our ICT Department. As the ICT Systems and Network Administrator, you will lead the installation and maintenance of technology to suit the requirements of the college.

This role offers the potential for growth and professional development in a small, tight-knit team to the right candidate. The successful candidate will have excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills as well as a keen interest in network and server technologies.

Core responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management and maintenance all ICT Infrastructure across the St Pius X College Campus.
  • Maintain and enhance a Cisco, HP and Aerohive network with over 10 core and edge switches and 80 wireless access points connected via a 10GB backbone.
  • Utilize PowerShell and other scripting technologies to automate tasks and increase efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain a Standard Operating Environment (SOE) through SCCM
  • Provide escalated Level 3 Technical Support to staff, students, and other members of the ICT Team
  • Facilitate the completion of special projects including on site and cloud infrastructure upgrades and wireless network configuration.

To be considered for this role you should have:

  • At least 5 years hands-on experience in an ICT Infrastructure role.
  • Ability to complete systematic analysis to solve problems independently
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft PowerShell scripting. Please include examples of your own PowerShell Scripts with your application
  • Experience with Windows Server, Hyper-V and Active Directory
  • Knowledge of Office 365 configuration via PowerShell
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with customers at variable levels of ICT literacy
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise individual tasks and follow through to completion independently
  • A working knowledge of networking technologies and the ability to configure Level 2/3 switches

You should have experience with the following technologies:

  • Microsoft Windows Server
  • Microsoft System Centre
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Active Directory design and maintenance
  • Network Design and Configuration (both wired and wireless)
  • Microsoft Windows 10

The ideal candidate would also have:

  • Microsoft, Cisco and HPE Technical Certifications
  • SQL Server configuration experience
  • Microsoft Lync / Skype for Business experience

Drama Teacher

Level: Years 7- 12
Contract: Permanent Full Time

Reporting to: Performing Arts Studies Coordinator

St Pius X College Chatswood is seeking to appoint an energetic and dynamic Drama Teacher Years 7 – 12. The teacher will be suitably qualified and enjoy working in a vibrant and cohesive team. Involvement in the cocurricular life of the College is an essential condition of employment and is appropriately remunerated.

The successful applicant will:

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding and commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School;
  • Be supportive of the Edmund Rice ethos of the College;
  • Be characterised by a high standard of competency, professionalism, organisational proficiency and enthusiasm;
  • Have an ability to relate to boys and a practical knowledge of boys’ education issues and initiatives;
  • In consultation with the Performing Arts Studies Coordinator write dynamic programs and assessment tasks, which accurately reflect syllabus outcomes;
  • Keep accurate records of marks and reporting of student progress;
  • Contribute to the on-going development of shared Department resources to enhance learning outcomes;
  • Assist with the planning, organization and supervision of students at Performing Arts activities and events throughout the year;
  • Actively promote and support both the classroom and cocurricular Performing Arts program, through encouraging student participation and involvement;
  • Promote a harmonious working environment, through collaboration with both classroom colleagues and Performing Arts peripatetic staff;
  • Undertake other duties as determined by the Principal and Performing Arts Studies Coordinator.
